# Daïm Al-Yad — Artist CV > Plain-text / Markdown extract of the Artist CV from [https://daim.art/](https://daim.art/) (`#artistcv`). Also known as **Daïm** and **Daïm Aggott-Hönsch**. Self-description: Platonic Naturalist & Critical Mythographer; algorist and apeirographer. - Interactive site (JS portfolio + CV): [https://daim.art/](https://daim.art/) and [https://daim.art/#artistcv](https://daim.art/#artistcv) - Portfolio inventory (machine-readable): [https://daim.art/allartworks.md](https://daim.art/allartworks.md), [https://daim.art/allseries.md](https://daim.art/allseries.md), [https://daim.art/artworks.md](https://daim.art/artworks.md) ## Bio I was introduced to art by my childhood teacher, the late Hungarian artist Jenő Zaszlavik, in Szentendre. He trained my eye to see beauty in its myriad often unnoticed manifestations. That early grounding was later complemented by my growing obsession with code and data, to eventually become the fullness of my studio practice to this day. After the birth of my second child, I turned deeply toward mathematical art, leading to my foundational work on Pickover Biomorphs and Anthropobrots. By 2015 I began exhibiting publicly, and in the years that followed had several solo and group shows in Toronto. In 2019, on the heels of my first international exhibition in the United Kingdom, I entered the emerging cryptoart space and started minting on SuperRare and KnownOrigin. In 2020, I presented a solo exhibition through the Museum of Crypto Art in Somnium Space. That year also marked the launch of the twin paths that still define my work: algorithmic and apeirographic explorations of form, and critical mythographies that interrogate contemporary narratives. My 2020 closed with my algorithmic Cryptoblots becaming the first post-launch Art Blocks Curated series. In the years that followed, my practice continued evolving with mathematical revelations parallelling more figurative and thematic AI-assisted critiques, shown internationally at exhibitions in Hungary (2021), Senegal (2022), and Japan (2025). I continue to build on these foundations by scouring the complex plain for yet new ways to uncover timeless improbable aesthetic forms alongside the creation of resistance art rejecting the complacency of inherited myths. ## CV Writings "The Irrationalist Manifesto", 2026. https://manifold.xyz/@dam/id/4077037808 "I am a Cryptoartist", a Cryptoart Manifesto, 2022. https://daim.art/manifesto/ "The Apeirographer's Manifesto", 2016. At their core, these pursuits are more complementary than it might first seem, both being acts of calculated resistance: In the abstract, I reject the tyranny of the obvious by coaxing life-like beauty out of timeless places devoid of it; in the concrete, I refuse the anesthesia of inherited narratives and the convenience of borrowed certainty. I walk this path not out of eccentricity, but inevitability; having always been a man of varied and unconventional interests and tastes. And so my practice functions as a form of illumination, shining light upon things unseen and unconsidered—my personal rebellion against the darkness insidiously encroaching upon us all. ## Current and Past Works Carpathian Passage I.
